Category A

• Citizens of ‘third-countries’: all countries except for the 27 Member States of the European Union or associated states [Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway];
• Citizens of ‘third-countries’ who have not lived or carried out a main activity (studies, work, etc.) in any EU Member State or associated country for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years at the date of application.
   

Category B

•  Citizens of European Union Member States, or from Iceland, Norway or Liechtenstein.

Important:
Citizens from category A, ‘third-countries’, who have lived or have carried their main activities in one of the Category B countries for more than 12 months over the last five years, will also be considered within the Group B. In this case the fundings will correspond to category B, regardless of having non EU nationality.

Scholarships are awarded to the best classified students, according to the admission criteria and respecting a balance of countries / nationalities.
